This is dependent on your insurance and your horse’s issue. Customarily you will need to pay for the screening first, and then file a claim for reimbursement with your insurance company once the report is received.
After your horse has been scanned, we will forward the images and history for review by one of our Board Certified Veterinary Thermologists. Results, complete with an objective opinion and a recommendation, generally take about a week (except in the case of an emergency) and a full report will be delivered to you and the veterinarian of your choice. A discussion between the interpreting thermologist and your veterinary can be facilitated if the need arises.
